First, from the position left after the fall, the older person must seek the lateral safety position (PLS). From this position, progressively lie down in the prone position. Next, raise your chest by raising your arms. If this step is difficult, lean on your elbows. Continue bending the knees one by one until the quadruped position is completed. This last step can be done before the previous one if it is easier for the person. The next thing would be to crawl looking for a point of support for the hands, such as a chair. Once supported, the stronger leg is flexed to propel itself.
