BARBELL LATERAL LUNGES

TIPS: Focus on doing a slow and controlled movement. Make sure your knees are always pointing towards the toes. Focus on always having your weight on the entire soles of your feet. Your head and chest should always look forward.
STARTING POSITION:
Select the appropriate plates to put on the barbell. Put the barbell on your trapezius and grab it firmly with your hands. Stand straight, spread your feet at shoulder width apart and put your toes slightly outwards. Contract your pelvic floor and core while keeping your chest up.
MOVEMENT:
Do a lateral step separating your right foot from the other. Your feet should be wider than shoulder width apart. Lower your body towards your right side bending the right knee and hip while you keep the left leg slightly bent. Return to the starting position in a smooth movement while you inhale. Repeat the movement for the specified amount of repetitions, then switch sides and repeat the exercise.
